What happens when pop trash becomes sacred scripture? When icons replace ancestors? When memory is archived in pixels?
This is a journey through the psyche of detritus of pop, through the recycled echoes of what we consume — and what consumes us.
Pop Trash’d is a multidisciplinary experience and an ironic exploration as to how programming formulates blueprint of the human psyche, language, and identity in the world. How pop trash is valued, consumed, absorbed, recycled. What happens to our identity and sense of belonging through pop culture, and who are we when we deliberately evolve or detox from it?
